Privacy Policy

NgodingYuk (“we”) is a learn-to-code app. This page explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and what control you have over it.

1.Data We Collect

To create your account and save your progress, we collect:

  • Email address — to create your account and send the sign-in verification code.
  • Display name — for your profile and the leaderboard.
  • Learning progress — XP, daily streak, and the list of lessons you completed, so you can pick up where you left off on another device.
  • Profile photo (optional) — only if you upload one, used as your avatar on your profile and the leaderboard.

We do not collect your phone number, location, contacts, or payment details, and we use no ads or third-party trackers.

2.How We Use Your Data

  • Authenticating and securing your account.
  • Saving and syncing your learning progress across devices.
  • Calculating your XP and showing your rank on the leaderboard.
  • Sending the verification code to your email address.

3.What Other Users Can See

Your display name, XP, streak, completed-lesson count, and profile photo are public on the leaderboard and can be seen by other users. Your email address is never shown to other users.

If you would rather not be identifiable, you can use a pseudonym and skip the photo — or delete your account at any time (see Deleting Your Account).

4.Storage & Security

Your data is stored on our servers. All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted over HTTPS. Your language and theme preferences, your hearts, and a copy of your progress are also stored locally on your device.

5.Third Parties

We use the following service providers solely to run the app:

  • Hostinger — email service, used to send the verification code to your email address.
  • Cloudflare — security & networking in front of our site and servers (processes IP addresses).
  • Google Play — handles subscription payments. We never receive your card number.
  • Google Sign-In — only if you choose to sign in with Google.

We do not sell your data to anyone.

6.Deleting Your Account & Data

You can delete your account and all of its data from inside the app: open the Profile tab and choose “Delete account” at the very bottom.

Deletion is immediate and permanent. Your progress, XP, streak, name, photo, and leaderboard entry are removed from our servers and cannot be recovered.

If you cannot open the app, email business@ngodingyuk.com from your account's email address; we process those requests within 30 days.

7.Children

Creating an account requires an email address. If you are under 13, please ask a parent or guardian for permission first.

8.Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will appear on this page with a new "last updated" date.
